Motorcyclist dies in crash

A 58-year-old motorcyclist died Thursday after a driver turned into the lane the motorcyclist was traveling in and the vehicles collided, Las Vegas police said.

The collision occurred about 4 p.m. on Boulder Highway near Glen Avenue, police said.

Police said the motorcyclist was traveling southbound on Boulder Highway while Anthony Vitalone, 67, was stopped at a stop sign on Glen Avenue.

Police said Vitalone, who was driving a Geo Prizm, made a right turn onto southbound Boulder Highway. Police said Vitalone then made a lane change into the path of the motorcyclist and the collision occurred.

The motorcyclist, who was not identified by police, was ejected from the motorcycle.

Police said the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. Vitalone was not injured, police said.
