Motorcyclist killed in collision with semi
A motorcyclist died Tuesday on Interstate 15 near Mesquite after he pulled over to the side of the road and was struck by a semitrailer, the Nevada Highway Patrol said.
The victim's name was not released.
Trooper Joseph Fackrell said the crash occurred about 5:15 p.m. on northbound I-15 near mile marker 105.
Fackrell said the motorcyclist was traveling with other motorcyclists. They had pulled over to put on rain gear when a semitrailer struck one of the motorcyclists. Nobody else was injured.
Fackrell said that the cause of the crash was under investigation.
