Motorcyclist killed in Henderson accident

A 20-year-old Las Vegas man died in a motorcycle accident Thursday night near Mountain Vista Street and Ramrod Avenue in Henderson.

Henderson police, who didn't identify the man, said he was riding a motorcycle north on Mountain Vista when he collided with a Ford pickup about 6 p.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police do not believe drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash, but believe the man was traveling at a high rate of speed in the moments leading up to the crash.

The pickup's driver was not injured, police said.

This was the third traffic fatality in Henderson this year.
