Motorist arrested after meth, nearly $60,000 discovered

An Oklahoma man is in custody after Arizona authorities say they found methamphetamine and nearly $60,000 in cash in his vehicle.

Yavapai County Sheriff's officials said Monday that 23-year-old Victor Robertson was pulled over for moving violations on Interstate 17 south of Cordes Junction. They say Robertson appeared confused and his behavior was consistent with someone under the influence of drugs.

Under the front seat, authorities found a light bulb modified for use as a methamphetamine pipe and a container with a gram of meth. Deputies also discovered about $59,900 in three bundles hidden in the car's right front fender and passenger door.

Robertson was held on a $100,000 bond at the Camp Verde Detention Center on suspicion of possession of dangerous drugs, money laundering and DUI.
