Two men accused of killing an aspiring model pleaded not guilty to murder charges Wednesday in District Court.
A grand jury indicted Nicholas Navarrette, 23, and Geoffrey Grove, 25, last week on 27 felony counts.
They are accused of killing Shpresa Hamzaj, 27, on Sept. 7. Her body was taken to the desert. She had been strangled and shot.
Grove, a former boyfriend of Hamzaj, told police he was upset she had ended their relationship and went to her home with his roommate, Navarrette, to steal her vehicles and guns.
A tentative trial date of Feb. 25 has been scheduled .
