NEON MONDAY

Lords of Altamont hit Double Down

Doing their best to be the aural approximation of a sleazy, greasy '70s biker flick, the Lords of Altamont are rock 'n' roll revisionists of the most raucous order.

Vacuum-packed into black denim, fond of setting stuff on fire onstage, these dudes look as if they were born in a back alley somewhere, and they sound like it, too, their mean-eyed, whiskey-breathing snarl the stuff that bar fights are made of.

See the band at 10 p.m. at the Double Down Saloon, 4640 Paradise Road. The show is free. Call 791-5775 for further details.
