NEON SUNDAY

You can rock and do some good

Two benefits make it easy to do something good this week.

Some of Las Vegas' finest bands are joining forces at the Rae of Sunshine Benefit, with the proceeds going to Rae Gallagher, a 21-year-old stricken with cancer. Escape the Fate tops the bill along with post-punks You In Series and modern rockers Away Station, No Bragging Rights and Last Years Forecast.

Hey, you get to be a good Samaritan while headbanging! The show starts at 2 p.m. on Sunday at Jillian's, 450 Fremont St. Tickets are $15; call 759-0450.

Las Vegas headliners including Gordie Brown, Clint Holmes and Ronn Lucas get together Thursday at The Venetian, 3355 Las Vegas Blvd., South, to help Sparrow Clubs USA, a youth charity for critically ill children.

Tickets are $150 for a package that includes a 6 p.m. cocktail reception and silent auction or $65 for just the 8:30 p.m. show; call 414-9000.
