Foreigner at Mandalay Bay

Locals seldom cheer the arrival of hot weather, but the arrival of Mandalay Bay's Concerts on the Beach helps take away the sting.

Foreigner launches the series today with such sounds of summer hits as "Hot Blooded" and "Cold as Ice." If the band sounds a bit different, it's not heatstroke but the fact that Kelly Hansen has replaced original singer Lou Gramm.

Tickets are $67-$72.50 for the 9 p.m. show at 3950 Las Vegas Blvd. South. Call 632-7580.
