'Next Best Thing' on TV or live

Wednesday offers the singular experience of watching ABC's finals of "The Next Best Thing" or watching the real next best things live.

The final TV episode at 8 p.m. (KTNV-TV, Channel 13) picks a winner from 10 finalists, which include both Sharon Owens and Sebastian Anzaldo from "Barbra and Frank -- The Concert That Never Was" at the Riviera and Trent Carlini of "The Musical History of the King" at the Sahara.

If you opt for the live versions, "Barbra and Frank" is at 8:30 p.m. at 2901 Las Vegas Blvd. South. Tickets are $51.25-$61.25; call 794-9433. Carlini is at 9 p.m. at 2535 Las Vegas Blvd. South. Tickets are $60.90-$71.90; call 737-2111.
