Flaspar returns to Sin City

We're not sure what it is about Portland, Ore. -- OK, maybe we do, it's the microbrews -- but lots of Vegas artists have been relocating there in recent years as if all the faucets poured Widmer Hefeweizen.

One of the best groups of Sin City expats currently living there is electro punk fireballs Flaspar, who return to town this week. With free-range electronic soundscapes meshing with art pop sensibilities and a sugar-high adrenaline rush, this bunch should be welcomed back in Vegas like the (anti-)heroes that they are.

See Flaspar at 10 p.m. Thursday at the Bunkhouse, 124 S. 11th St. Tickets are $5 in advance, $10 day of show; call 384-4536.
