Neon This Week
You could forgive The Wanteds for not living up to their name all that much. It's not their fault.
The Portland-based band's latest disc, "Failure Looks So Good," is a fine, scrappy, indie pop rock record with buzzing guitars and the kind of bright-eyed melodies that probably would have landed the band a major label record deal in the heady days of the alt-rock boom of the mid-'90s. Those times being long gone, the group released the record themselves and are touring in D.I.Y. fashion.
Help 'em achieve some truth in advertising by going to see The Wanteds at 10 tonight at the Bunkhouse, 124 S. 11th St. Tickets are $10; call 384-4536.
