Ace Frehley likes life after Kiss

He's the sci-fi-minded dude with the weary liver. "Space" Ace Frehley. Ace guitarist. Ace partyer (formerly, at least). Ace survivor. He's been through a lot: The guy used to be a mail carrier before becoming one of the biggest rock stars in the world during his tenure in Kiss.

As a solo artist, Frehley's managed to find a modicum of success, scoring a minor hit with the autobiographical "Rock Soldiers" in the late '80s.

And now Frehley's back on the front lines, ax in hand, unwilling to Kiss it all goodbye anytime soon. See him at 9 p.m. Wednesday at the House of Blues at Mandalay Bay, 3950 Las Vegas Blvd. South. Tickets are $30-$50; call 632-7600.
