Some Broadway and The Bravery

Mezzo soparano Rosemary Alvino is a well-traveled singer who now spends much of her time in Cuenavaca, Mexico. But she lived in Las Vegas long enough to make plenty of friends in the local arts community.

Some of them will take part in "I'm Easily Assimilated," a showcase of classical and Broadway favorites at 2 p.m. today in the Clark County Library theater, 1401 E. Flamingo Road. Tickets are $15; call 658-6741.

On Thursday, The Bravery lives up to its name by coming to the home turf of The Killers. The two bands had one of those "feuds" a couple of years ago that no one outside the British music press pays much attention to.

Still, it might be fun to listen for any Brandon Flowers slurs when the band plays Thursday at the House of Blues at Mandalay Bay. Switches open at 8 p.m.; tickets are $20-$22; call 632-7600.
