Brand New hits House of Blues

Brand New isn't by now, but the band showed what it takes to stick around in a disposable music era with last fall's album, "The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me."

The band has traveled from the pop-punk heap of 2000 to the forefront of the "emo" movement and now makes a move for longterm credibility with a dense, multi-layered product.

Kevin Devine and Manchester Orchestra round out the bill at the House of Blues at Mandalay Bay, 3950 Las Vegas Blvd. South. Tickets are $23 for the 6:30 p.m. show; call 632-7600.
