Barr gets topical in stand-up show

Roseanne Barr is one of the names most cited to replace Rosie O'Donnell on "The View," and Barr's current stand-up show, "All You Can Eat Comedy," suggests she could bring a lot to the mix.

"Common sense is coming back real big," Barr said recently of an edgy act that covers everything from politics to overuse of prescription drugs. "As I've traveled around the country, that's what I've been sensing and seeing from people."

The comedian performs at 8 p.m. at New York-New York, 3790 Las Vegas Blvd. South. Tickets are $54.95; call 740-6815.
