NEON TUESDAY

For $1.07, hear Madina Lake

Madina Lake sounds like the past 20 years of modern rock radio distilled into one elaborately coiffed band.

The group is a blend of spit-shined rock hooks, yearning vocals, turgid guitars and economy-sized choruses, all underlain with touches of electronic beats and screamo flourishes.

You've heard it all before, now hear it all at once. See the band at 6 p.m. at the University Theater, 4737 S. Maryland Parkway. Tickets are $1.07; call 898-5500.
