Nevada law enforcement launching anti-DUI campaign

Law enforcement and transportation officials are launching a campaign to curb drunken driving as Labor Day parties approach.

Authorities kicked off the three-week campaign Friday in Las Vegas. A federal grant is paying overtime for police agencies to combat drunken driving.

They will use television and radio advertisements to remind drivers to assign a designated driver or to pay for a cab after partying.

In 2010, 89 people died in Nevada because of drivers who were under the influence. Of those, there were 27 deaths in Clark County.
