New county commissioners sworn in

Newly elected Clark County Commissioner Mary Beth Scow and incumbents Chris Giunchigliani and Susan Brager were sworn in Monday.

Scow, a Democrat and three-term Clark County School Board member, officially began her four-year term. She is replacing Rory Reid, who left office after serving eight years.

With Scow being elected to the post, the seven-person commission will remain all-Democratic for at least two more years.

Brager and Giunchigliani are starting their second terms in office.

The board chose Brager to be chairwoman, and Commissioner Steve Sisolaki to be vice chairman.
