New German restaurant opens in Henderson

The Berliner, a new fast-food place specializing in traditional German food, opened Saturday, June 2, in Henderson.

A crowd, including honorary German consul Andreas R. Adrian, was on hand to sample bratwurst, currywurst, schnitzelsandwich, beer brats, knockwurst and fresh cucumber salad, sauerkraut and potato salad. The store also features the the Berliner, a doughnutlike, jellyflled treat, as a dessert option.

The store is at 9400 S. Eastern Ave., #106A, in Henderson.

Ryan Grillo is store manager, and the store will employ five people.
