NLV man is sentenced in child porn case
A North Las Vegas man was sentenced this week to 15 years in prison for transmitting child pornography over the Internet.
Ezra Hallock, 43, was convicted in May of receiving and possessing child pornography. He was sentenced Tuesday by U.S. District Judge James Mahan.
Because Hallock has a prior felony conviction in Idaho for sexual abuse of a minor, he faced a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years, according to a statement from the U.S. attorney's office in Nevada.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents searched Hallock's North Las Vegas residence in October 2006 and recovered hundreds of pornographic images depicting children. He has been in federal custody since his December 2006 arrest.
