NLV police plan event to aid seniors
The North Las Vegas Police Department on Wednesday will host its annual Senior Crime Prevention Awareness Day to educate senior citizens about how to avoid becoming victims of crime.
The free event, which runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Cannery, will include presentations on identity theft, telemarketing fraud, personal safety, con artist awareness and driving safety.
The first 300 people in attendance will receive gift bags, continental breakfasts and a lunch buffet.
The Cannery is located at 2121 E. Craig Road, near Losee Road.
