No. 18 Brigham Young 42, UNLV 35, final
Max Hall threw a 6-yard touchdown pass to Dennis Pitta with 1:46 to play today to lift the 18th-ranked Brigham Young Cougars to a 42-35 Mountain West Conference victory over the UNLV Rebels in Provo, Utah.
The Rebels' last-gasp drive fell short when Omar Clayton's Hail Mary pass was intercepted in the end zone. UNLV (3-5, 0-4 Mountain West) had a second-and-10 at the BYU 13-yard line with 14 seconds remaining, but Clayton was sacked, forcing the desperation pass attempt.
The Rebels led 35-34 before the BYU touchdown and two-point conversion in the closing minutes. Clayton threw for 323 yards. Hall had four touchdown passes for the Cougars (7-1, 3-1).
