One man died, and another man was seriously wounded, in a double shooting Wednesday night, North Las Vegas police said.

Sgt. Tim Bedwell said investigators were searching for at least one suspect in the incident.

"We believe we have an outstanding shooter," he said.

One of the men was taken to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

The other was initially listed in critical condition.

Bedwell said at 8:30 p.m. that the man was expected to survive.
