Nye County sheriff tracks man’s trail in child porn case

A Nye County sheriff's investigator said authorities are trying to determine whether a 43-year-old convicted sex offender victimized children in places where he used to live in Southern California, Florida, Missouri and New Jersey.

Detective David Boruchowitz said Christopher Kinder used to live in the Santa Monica, Calif., and South Amboy, N.J., areas, Fort Myers, Fla., and Springfield, Mo.

Kinder was arrested Thursday in Pahrump. He was jailed on $25 million bail pending a court appearance on 5,000 possession of child pornography charges, plus failure to register as an ex-felon .
