Officials investigating who made school bus tires go flat
CARSON CITY -- School officials in Carson City on Tuesday were dealing with airless front tires on 44 buses.
While the air was let out of some tires, other vehicles were left with valves damaged or missing, District Safety Services Manager Kevin Curnes told the Nevada Appeal. If the culprits turn out to be high school seniors, they aren't graduating, Curnes said.
Carson City School District transportation official Janet Lyda says morning bus routes were missed.
District transportation workers and employees from a tire store said buses were ready for midday and afternoon pickups at the district's 11 schools.
