Oh, snap!

It's time to show off your photography skills again in the second Bing photo contest Home Sweet Homepage.

One thing that makes Bing unique is its home page, which features a different photograph as its background every day. The photos are usually stunning, sometimes timely and always available for a week, just in case you miss a day, or two.

To enter the new contest, start at the Bing.com home page and look for the "Hit us with your best shot" link near the bottom, center of the page. You can also start at the Bing page on Facebook (www.facebook.com/bing), which will lead you to the contest details.

This contest’s theme is "hometown pride."

The first Bing photo contest garnered more than 9,400 eligible entries and almost 500,000 votes. Australian Jeremy Somers won with his image "Eye of the Storm." You can see the photo and read Somers' story here: http://bit.ly/q7VEU.

Photographers will need to enable the Bing Snap application on Facebook to submit entries. Learn more here: http://www.facebook.com/Bing?v=app_191639540074

The photo-submission deadline is Dec. 13 at 11:59 p.m. Hawaii-Aleutian Standard Time.
The winner will be decided by a combination of popular votes in the first round, editorial selection before the finals, and by popular vote in the finals. Finalists will be announced Dec. 15 and the winner will be announced Dec. 21.

The winning photo will appear on the homepage Jan. 6.

Happy shooting!
