Olympian Phelps celebrates with ex
With his latest girlfriend notably missing, Olympics swimming star Michael Phelps was spotted in the company of an ex during his retirement celebration in Las Vegas.
Photos surfaced of Phelps in presence of former Las Vegas girlfriend Carolyn Pal in several photos. They dated for a few months after his haul of eight gold medals in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. She was working as a cocktail server at Moon nightclub at the Palms.
Phelps has been dating Megan Rossee, the California cocktail waitress/model who showed up in Phelps' company during the London Olympics.
Also hanging out with Phelps during the weekend was 23-year-old singer/rapper Chanel, fellow gold medalists Nathan Adrian and Allison Schmitt and hotel owner Steve Wynn and his wife, Andrea.
It was reported over the weekend that Phelps won $100,000 in a single game in a cash poker game at Caesars Palace casino.
Phelps responded to the report via Twitter: "Wish I won a 100k. ... Haha not true tho:(.''
THE SCENE AND HEARD
UNLV theater professor Nate Bynum is in Hollywood today for the premiere of "Stealing Las Vegas" at the Hollywood Latino Film Festival. The film is produced by Oscar-winning cult film legend Roger Corman and directed by Francisco Menendez, who has headed UNLV film department since 2000. Bynum, fresh from a recent appearance in TNT's "Franklin & Bash," plays the chief of security at a casino in "Stealing Las Vegas."
E!'s "Fashion Police" host George Kotisopoulos and a special celebrity guest are taking part in Fashion's Night Out on Thursday at The Shoppes at the Palazzo. Open to the public, it begins at 6 p.m.

Hours earlier, a brief scuffle broke out at Brown's table about dawn at Chateau (Paris Las Vegas) near Sean (Diddy) Combs' party. ... Porn icon Jenna Jameson, who had become a red carpet fashionista in recent years, returned to risqué in a big way on Saturday during her Labor Day weekend appearance at Crazy Horse III. She was back to showing a lot of skin in a barely-there, spider-inspired jumpsuit. ... Ioan Gruffudd, who played Mr. Fantastic in the hit film "Fantastic Four," partying at Rain (Palms) on Saturday with longtime friend DJ Zen Freeman. Also at Rain on Saturday: London Olympics long jump bronze medalist Janay DeLoach, holding her bachelorette party. She is marrying Colorado State University track standout Patrick Soukup this month. They met at Colorado State while competing in the school's track program. ... At 1 OAK nightclub (Mirage) over the weekend: Nicky Hilton, at a friend's birthday party, and Evan Ross, son of former Supremes star Diana Ross.
