One hurt in North Las Vegas fire

One person was taken to the hospital for possible smoke inhalation after a house fire in North Las Vegas Wednesday afternoon.

Firefighters arrived at about 1:15 p.m. to 2541 Magnet St., near Las Vegas Boulevard and Civic Center Drive.

Firefighters from North Las Vegas, Clark County and Las Vegas fire departments extinguished the fire within 30 minutes of arrival.

The fire started in a carport and moved through a window into the house. Three vehicles in the backyard were destroyed and the home has been deemed currently unlivable by fire officials.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
