One killed, one injured in rollover

One Meadview resident was killed and another was injured Saturday in a single vehicle rollover outside the rural northwest Arizona community of Dolan Springs.

Excessive speed is believed to have been a factor in the crash, according to the Mohave County Sheriff's Office.

Spokeswoman Trish Carter said 58-year-old Robert Allen McCall was northbound on Stockton Hill Road at 7 p.m. when he failed to negotiate a curve as his 1994 Ford Ranger pickup approached Pierce Ferry Road. Carter said McCall was ejected when the truck rolled multiple times when he overcorrected after the pickup drifted off the roadway.

McCall was transported to Sunrise Medical Center in Las Vegas for treatment of nonlife-threatening injuries. His passenger, Althea Jane Critz, 59, was declared dead at the scene of the accident.
