One man killed, another wounded in shooting at party; suspect sought

A man was fatally shot and another man was injured at a house party Friday night near Martin Luther King Boulevard and Carey Avenue.

Las Vegas police did not release the identity of the deceased man or the injured man.

Police said they were called at 9:32 p.m. to a home on the 1300 block of Blankenship Avenue, where a "small party" occurred.

Upon arriving, they found a man shot multiple times, and another man who had been shot in the elbow.

Both were transported to University Medical Center.

Police said a suspect described as a 31-year-old black man fled the party on foot. The shooting was the result of an argument.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 385-5555 or the Homicide Section at 828-3521.
