One of three missing hikers found dead

GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK, Ariz. -- At least one person has drowned in the Colorado River after three Arizona hikers jumped in during a visit to the Grand Canyon.

Grand Canyon National Park spokeswoman Maureen Oltrogge said searchers found the body Friday about a mile downriver from where the trio had jumped in.

The search continues for the other two hikers, she said. The three were not wearing life vests. The water temperature is about 50 degrees.

Tri-City Baptist Church spokesman Garrick Taylor said the three hikers, ages 15 to 22, were part of a 30-member trip organized by the church.
