Opening ceremony for Henderson park delayed

A grand opening ceremony for Henderson's Cornerstone Park, which was scheduled for Saturday, has been postponed.

The Southern Nevada Trails Day Celebration will take place as planned from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday at the park, 1600 Wigwam Parkway.

Heavy rains in August caused unexpected construction delays at Cornerstone Park. A new grand opening date will be announced once construction is complete..
