Opening dates set for new Planet Hollywood tower
The 1,201-room PH Towers at Planet Hollywood Resort is opening this weekend to owners of its timeshares, with the rooms opening to the general public Dec. 28, resort officials confirmed Monday.
About 20 percent of the of the rooms will be timeshares, with the rest used as hotel rooms for the resort. The Planet Hollywood Resort had 2,496 rooms prior to the new tower’s opening.
The PH Towers is a 52-story tower on four acres next to the Miracle Mile Shops. The project is a partnership between Planet Hollywood Resort and Westgate, a Florida-based timeshare company.
Planet Hollywood received 13,345 applicants for 800 jobs at the project.
