Paralyzed Nevada man uses sit-ski to reach South Pole
RENO -- Nevadan Grant Korgan, 33, of Incline Village, who was paralyzed in a 2010 snowmobiling accident, has reached the South Pole using a sit-ski.
He went about 75 miles in sub-zero temperatures over two weeks to complete the trip 100 years to the day after the British explorer Capt. Robert Falcon Scott completed the journey on Jan. 17, 1912.
