Parents will be allowed to visit sons
The parents of a 4-year-old boy who died last week in a hot car will be allowed to visit their four sons who were taken into protective custody, a Family Court hearing master ruled this morning.
Lawyers for Stanley and Colleen Rimer expect the parents to see their children later today for supervised visits at Child Haven. However, the boys will remain at the shelter until at least Friday, when another hearing is scheduled.
Ismael Santellan, Colleen Rimer's court-appointed lawyer, said the children could be released to a relative once the relative passes a background check.
