Pedestrian critically injured in southeast valley crash

A pedestrian was in critical condition after being hit by a car on Boulder Highway and Russell Road Thursday afternoon.

Las Vegas police said a man in his 50s was hit by a BMW as he walked south on Boulder Highway against a red light.

The driver of the BMW had a green light while traveling east on Russell Road before the pedestrian was hit.

The pedestrian suffered a broken femur and was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center in critical condition, police said.

The driver of the BMW remained on scene and police attribute the accident to pedestrian error.
