Pedestrian dies in crash
A pedestrian was killed late Friday when he was struck by a sport utility vehicle while crossing Flamingo Road at the intersection of Tamarus Street, Las Vegas police said.
Witnesses told police the pedestrian was walking north against a "Don't Walk" signal about 11:48 p.m. Charles Biehn, a 75-year-old Florida man driving a Jeep Cherokee, was traveling east on Flamingo and failed to see the pedestrian, striking him with the front right side of his vehicle.
The pedestrian was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, where he died.
