Pedestrian hit by car on Strip

A man was hit by a car in front of Harrah's Las Vegas on the Strip and transported to University Medical Center in critical condition Friday afternoon, Las Vegas police said.

The man was struck about 4:30 p.m. and fatal detail investigators were on the scene, said Laura Meltzer, a police spokeswoman.
