Pink newspaper marks start of Breast Cancer Awareness Month

The Review-Journal today proudly prints on pink paper to mark the start of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

For the third year in a row, the Review-Journal offers special reports on breast cancer research, philanthropy, support groups and individuals with breast cancer.

"The Review-Journal stands up for all women in the fight against breast cancer,'' Publisher Bob Brown said of the effort. "Let us eradicate this terrible disease once and for all."

All single-copy sale proceeds will go to the Susan G. Komen Foundation and the American Cancer Society. In each of the past two years the Review-Journal has donated about $20,000 to the two groups.

In addition to the Review-Journal, three other Stephens Media newspapers in Nevada are participating. They are the Mesquite Local News, Pahrump Valley Times and Boulder City Review.
