Pizzeria approved for Fremont Street

There's going to be more booze and pizza on Fremont East.

A proposal by Radio City Pizza to open a new location in the burgeoning downtown Las Vegas entertainment district won unanimous approval from the city's planning commission Tuesday.

Radio City has an existing pizzeria at Tivoli Village at Queensridge, which would make the Fremont East location its second in Las Vegas.

The downtown location needed approval from the planning commission for a special use permit related to the tavern license.

According to documents filed with the city planning department, Radio City will offer indoor and outdoor seating at 508 E. Fremont St., along with full cocktail service.

In addition to approving the proposed pizzeria, the commission also approved a tavern license for Park on Fremont, which would be located next door to Radio City.
