Plans for Carson City facility on track
CARSON CITY -- Carson City officials say plans are on track for its 14-acre fairgrounds to open early next year after $3.5 million in renovations.
The new fairgrounds will have a 60-stall barn, a new arena, a new announcers box and improved lighting and sound.
The parks department also hopes to build a 1-acre fishing pond as part of the fairgrounds.
