Police find two bodies in desert

Two bodies were discovered by authorities Monday afternoon in the desert at the base of the Sheep Mountains, North Las Vegas police said.

Lt. Alex Perez said police discovered the bodies near a motor vehicle in the desert about two or three miles north of the Las Vegas Beltway and Losee Road about 5 p.m.

Perez would not comment on the manner of the deaths or the gender of the victims and their approximate ages.

"It's too early in the investigation to determine that at this time," Perez said. "It's going to be a long night."
