Police ID man, 36, whose body was found at recycling center

RENO -- Police have identified a 36-year-old man whose body ended up on a conveyor belt at a Reno recycling center.

Authorities said David Robert Borland's body was found a little before noon Monday at the Waste Management Recycling Center on Commercial Row in Reno. Detectives said it appears the body was in a trash container and was picked up by a recycling truck that morning. It's not clear how long the body had been in the container.

Investigators are reviewing surveillance video from businesses where the truck stopped that morning. They're also seeking information about what Borland was doing on Sunday.

An autopsy is pending.
