Police investigating a dead body found downtown

Las Vegas police were investigating a dead body that was found downtown Monday morning.

According to police, the body was reported to police about 6:30 a.m. in the 300 block of South 7th Street, near Bridger Avenue.

Early reports indicated the deceased was male. Patrol officers called homicide detectives to the scene, police said.

The investigation was still in progress, and further details were not yet available.
