Police: Jail worker tried to aid inmate

North Las Vegas police Thursday arrested a corrections officer with the North Las Vegas Detention Center on suspicion of an attempt to aid a prisoner escape.

Hollis Salahuddin, 35, was arrested on a felony count of aiding a prisoner to escape and a felony count of forgery by altering, deleting or obliterating computerized data. She was booked into the Clark County Detention Center.

She has been with the detention center more than three years.

North Las Vegas police said Salahuddin was arrested after discovery of unauthorized changes to a prisoner's computer record. Police said she forged information on the record. The prisoner was not identified.

Police said no evidence existed that Salahuddin's actions resulted in an escape.
