Police say burglary suspects targeting the elderly

Las Vegas police are looking for three suspects who have been targeting elderly people in the northeast valley and stealing from them after the suspects gained the elderly person's confidence.

The suspects, who are described as white or of eastern European descent, have been targeting the elderly since February, police said.

The suspects speak with an accent and have been seen driving a dark 2004 Land Rover Discovery with a missing front bumper.

The suspects include two adult males and a petite female with black hair. One of the males is described as skinny, tall with short hair. The other male suspect is described as having a large build and black hair.

Police said the suspects approach people and solicit yard work. Another scam they use is that they tell people the woman in the group is pregnant and needs to use the bathroom. After gaining access to a home, a male distracts the victim while the female steals items. The suspects have been known to follow victims from a separate location such as a grocery store or to approach people who are in their yards.

Anyone with any information on the suspects is asked to contact Detective Anthony Packe at 828-7354 or Crime Stoppers at 385-5555.
