Police search for suspect in man’s death

Las Vegas police are asking for the public's help in locating a 40-year-old man wanted in the death of a man found in the desert Aug. 2.
Fernando Ramirez-Hernandez is facing a charge of murder with a deadly weapon and robbery, according to police.
Police say he's a suspect in the death of 27-year-old Hector Escobar-Rizo, who was found in a desert area near Fort Apache and Blue Diamond roads. He was dead from a gunshot wound.
Ramirez-Hernandez is to be considered armed and dangerous, according to police. Anybody with information on his whereabouts is encouraged to call the homicide section at 828-3521 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 385-5555.
