Police tally 110 arrests at River Run

Police officers from three states arrested 110 people during the 25th annual Laughlin River Run, a motorcyclist event that has seen violence break out in the past.

Eight were arrested for felonies, including one person who was arrested for copyright infringement and had more than 300 CDs confiscated, Sgt. John Loretto of the Las Vegas police said Sunday. Four others were arrested for gross misdemeanors and 98 for misdemeanors.

Law enforcement officers came from Arizona and California to assist patrolling the event that ran from Wednesday to Sunday. It was billed as the largest ride-in rally in the West, with more than 70,000 expected to attend.

Police have monitored the rally closely since three bikers were killed in a brawl at the Harrah's Laughlin casino in 2002. Many others were injured in the melee.
