Review of Nevada jurists upcoming

Clark County attorneys will receive letters this week with information necessary to participate in the 2011 Judicial Performance Evaluation sponsored by the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

A letter containing the web address at which the evaluation survey is conducted, a pin number and a password unique to each attorney, was mailed Monday to every lawyer on active status with the State Bar of Nevada. Each was invited to rate the members of the Nevada Supreme Court, and judges in the major courts of Clark County, based on personal experiences with those judges. Each also was asked to recommend whether voters should retain each judge the next time he or she runs for reelection.

The letters were expected to arrive at their offices by today.

Key results of the survey will be published in the Review-Journal in December, and complete results will be available on the Review-Journal's website.
