Ruling delivers loss to board

Today’s Review-Journal features the voters guide to the primary election. More than 40 races that will be on the ballot are profiled in the section timed to coincide with early voting, which began Saturday. The guide went to press before the Nevada Supreme Court’s ruling on term limits, which affects some primary races.

Because of the ruling, Bruce Woodbury will not be eligible to run for County Commission and School Board members Mary Beth Scow and Ruth Johnson will be barred from running. University system Regents Thalia Dondero and Howard Rosenberg also will not be able to run for their offices.

The ruling allows Nevada legislators to run, including Assemblymen Mark Manendo and Morse Arberry, whose races are profiled in the guide.
